The DC-AMS Chapter strives to promote interest in the atmospheric and earth science throughout the DC community. A large component of this endeavor focuses on interacting with students who are interested in the sciences via science fairs, scholarships, and mentoring. During the spring, DC-AMS also participates in severe weather awareness month activities and collects canned goods for local food dives around the holidays.
