About the speaker
David Hoadley, 66, storm chaser for 48 years ("longest
storm-chasing career" per the Guinness World Records, 2001) has driven
over 734,000 miles in 22 states and seen 158 tornadoes. Having begun storm chasing as a teenager in
Track" in 1977, which has become the national storm chaser's
newsletter (now published on-line by Tim Marshall, see www.stormtrack.org).
Mr. Hoadley is a liberal arts graduate (BA, Political Science,
His photography and articles about him have been published in
national and international magazines, newspapers and the broadcast media,
including Time-Life, National Geographic, Scientific American, the Chicago
Tribune, USA Today, ABC's Day One and The History Channel. He has written articles for Storm Track, the
